That up there is hands down, one of the best desserts I’ve ever made. And I make a lot of desserts. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill blondies… (although those are pretty good too)… there is such much flavor going on here. Salty, sweet, caramel, vanilla, and so on.
The game changer are these salted caramel almonds.
As a matter of fact, I barely had enough to make this recipe, since I’ve been snacking on them all week. They are ridiculous, guys. Sweet, but not too sweet. Just adds a little flavor when you’re eating a good snack.
It’s a pretty simple blondie recipe, you just add some caramel sauce. Mhmm.
Brown sugar and butter, it’s a beautiful thing. Makes for a thick batter, which makes for a
moist dense blondie.
Slather some cream cheese frosting on the top, and it’s amazing. You could even use this recipe to make a cookie cake. Let’s do that!
- 1 canister, Blue Diamond Salted Caramel Almonds, divided
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- sea salt, for topping
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
I used Blue Diamond Salted Caramel Almonds for this recipe. They are perfect for baking, snacking, or even throwing in a homemade trail mix. They’re delish.
