This savory monkey bread is a super simple recipe made with canned biscuits, eggs, premium thick-cut bacon, and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. So easy to prep ahead of time, making it the perfect brunch dish for the busy cook!
Have you ever heard of “Monkey Bread”? It’s a baked good, usually served at breakfast time, and made with canned biscuit dough and sweet or savory toppings.
This particular monkey bread is a savory version, made with classic breakfast ingredients. It features our favorite Wright® Brand Hickory Smoked Bacon from Jewel-Osco. Quality ingredients just makes for a better dish, and we love this premium bacon for all of our brunch recipes!
Purchase today at your local Jewel-Osco and look for an on-pack redeemable coupon for $1.50 off at participating Jewel-Osco stores.
Wright® Brand Bacon is hand-trimmed & thick sliced, and has been crafted by experts since 1922. We love the smoke profile and how it really brings out the flavor of the dish.
To use it in this savory monkey bread, first chop and cook up the bacon. Next, preheat your oven to 350.
Cut your (uncooked) biscuits into quarters. Grab a big bowl and add biscuit dough, scrambled eggs, and top off with mixture of shredded cheese. Combine all the ingredients together. Spoon into greased bundt pan and bake until golden brown.
To serve, flip upside down onto a round platter. I like to add bowls of sour cream and chives/green onions. So tasty!
Cheesy, yummy goodness! Serve with fresh coffee, cream, and juice.
