Looking for a quick & easy breakfast that’s kid-friendly? This Maple Walnut Rice Breakfast Bowl is full of fall flavors and will keep you going all day. Batch prep it in the slow cooker for a delicious breakfast all week long.
As my kids get older, it’s been harder and harder to get a wholesome breakfast cooked & served before everyone runs out the door. It’s hard enough to get the kiddos out of bed some mornings! Lately I’ve been batch-cooking breakfast for the week and it’s made such a difference in our busy household.
The slow cooker is definitely my best friend in this season of life. I can “set it & forget it,” as well as cook larger amounts of food at a time. It’s a huge benefit to the chef in the family!
I love cooking up a batch of Minute® Instant Jasmine Rice to use in all sorts of meals throughout the week. It’s like Minute Instant Rice, so it cooks up fluffy and delicious in no time. It’s the first instant aromatic rice available to add international flair to your at-home recipes.
For the slow cooker, batch-prep method, I just add a few cups of dry rice and water to the slow cooker and let it go. Once the rice is fluffy and ready, it can be used right away or packed up in the fridge for meals any time of the day.
From there, you can add any ingredients/toppings you want! We love to use the jasmine rice in breakfast bowls. The kids can even make their own!
Celebrating all things fall, we’ve been making these Maple Walnut Rice Breakfast Bowls for a tasty morning meal. We love to add wholesome ingredients: Greek yogurt, pure maple syrup, walnuts, dried cranberries, and a sprinkle of brown sugar. The Minute Instant Jasmine Rice compliments these flavors so deliciously, with its distinctive aromatic scent, soft and fluffy texture and a subtle buttery flavor. The rice cooks in only 5 minutes! So much flavor in a quick & easy breakfast!
