5 reasons why parents and kids love Big Blue Swim School for swim lessons made easy (& fun!).
As a parent, I appreciate when a company goes above & beyond to make my life easier. It sets the company apart, and creates a loyal following.
It’s easy to see why families love Big Blue Swim School, and sign up for weekly swim lessons at all levels. The entire process from scheduling a lesson to meeting with trained instructors to the family-friendly facility, is designed to be an optimal experience for both parents and kids.
No matter the age of your kiddos, you’ve probably thought about how to fit swimming lessons into your schedule. The reality is, swimming is a necessary skill. We live in the Midwest (it’s currently 10 degrees outside) and still any parent here will tell you that water safety is a must. My daughter goes to camp every summer, and knowing she has the basics of swimming down gives me priceless peace of mind.
So if swimming is a must-have skill, how in the world do you find time for it? Wait until summer and hope to find a lesson at the local pool that isn’t already booked up? Spend all day at the pool while each kid has their lesson? Hope they’ll know how to swim by the end of the season?
Forget it. There’s an easier way, I promise.
Check out these 5 Reasons why Big Blue Swim School makes swim lessons easy for parents and kids:
Scheduling’s a breeze. No worries about getting the all kids to their separate lessons throughout the week. With Big Blue Swim School’s proprietary software platform, you can schedule all your lessons with one click. And they can accommodate multiple kids during one lesson time. Super convenient.
Need to skip a lesson? No fees, no hassle. Use the scheduling software (on any device) to schedule a make-up lesson. You can also change your lesson times whenever, as often as you need to. They totally get it that things change last minute. Isn’t that refreshing?!
Full-Time Instructors. Another aspect that sets Big Blue Swim School apart are the instructors and their training. Every one is full-time employee with benefits, which means better-trained swim teachers. Big Blue Swim School is only swim-lesson provider that invests in their teachers in this way. It makes for an environment where everyone is supported and happy to be there.
It’s obvious as soon as you walk in the doors that this facility is unique. Big smiles all around, and employees who are eager to help and accommodate you in any way. My daughter and I immediately felt comfortable at the school, and she loved her instructor. That’s a huge relief for me as a parent. At Big Blue Swim School, you can request specific instructors, and they’ll work with you to find a good match for your kids.
Effective Lessons. Another huge plus is their instruction program. The instructors are constantly adjusting the lessons for each kid and moving the child up the program as needed. My daughter took lessons at a different facility and got completely stuck at a level. It was disheartening for both of us. I love that Big Blue Swim School moves kids up based on skills, not on block levels that take forever to move through. In fact, she learned a few new skills on her first lesson (yep!) and received a ribbon. She was thrilled. It’s so important to keep kids motivated.
I was impressed by all the different types of lessons I saw during our hour visit. Kids were using all sorts of equipment and trying different techniques to master skills. The general manager at the Hoffman Estates, IL location told me that they focus on using multiple styles of learning, catered to each child. In any given lesson, they’ll use visual cues, auditory, tactile, etc. As a former teacher, I was thrilled to hear that the staff were using differentiated learning techniques to connect with each child. The staff check in with parents after every lesson, and you’re able to see your child’s progress at any time by checking into their software program.
Facilities built for families. A few amenities are noticeable as soon you enter the facility. The swimming area is sectioned off from the viewing area, which means the kids get a warm pool area with a clear sightline to mom & dad. To me, the 90-degree pool water is a huge perk. It’s just the worst trying to convince your kiddos to go into freezing outdoor pool water first thing in the morning for lessons. None of that here– in fact, they have carpeted changing area with individual rooms and a hair dryer area to keep kids comfortable during all seasons.
I also noticed a coloring area and train table, perfect for keeping siblings entertained during lessons. All in all, a facility that is created with families in mind.
Such a deal. Now that you’re interested in Big Blue Swim School, you’re wondering about the cost, right? First off, registration is free. Always.
