Guys. I have found a new love while enjoying all the summer fruits & veggies.
It’s the Rebel Green Tree Free Paper Towels; and along with the Fruit & Veggie Clean, they make quick work of cleaning off your farmer’s market haul. Just as soft as conventional paper products, but made from sustainable bamboo, it gets the job done with zero net carbon footprint. I find myself enjoying the experience of cleaning my weekly produce.
That’s right. Cleaning made fun. And just look at that cute bottle! I find it always catches my eye, and reminds me to treat my fruits & veggies to a bath before my kiddos dive in for a quick snack or to help with a summer dessert.
Up to 30 sets of hands touch your produce before it reaches your plate. Yech. So it’s my priority to use a fruit & veggie cleaner that rinses clean and does a more thorough job than rinsing with water alone. Even organic produce can have layers of drift spraying, dirt, or manure. That’s reason enough for me to find a quality fruit & veggie cleaner and paper towels that effectively clean while respective our fragile environment, both indoors and out.
I love Rebel Green All Purpose Spray and Fruit & Veggie Clean for that very reason. They contain pure natural essential oils, like Lavender, Peppermint & Lemon, with plant-based surfactants. It’s a game changer when you realize that you can have a clean home with products that are safe for your family.
And the new Rebel Green Tree Free Toilet Paper & Paper Towels will fit right into your home as well! They’re made from sustainable bamboo, so they’re 100% tree free and chlorine free, with no added pesticides or GMO. And just like the rest of the Rebel Green natural cleaning products, they get the job done, with the greater impact of our environment in mind.
We use them all the time when cooking and baking up a storm. My kiddos love to help in the kitchen, and it’s messy, messy fun.
Last weekend, we made this baked apple dish to celebrate the coming fall season, and it was a big hit. My girls are really starting to enjoy fruits & veggies, and love to check out what’s in season.
I’ve been making baked apples for years, and decided my girls were ready to try out this recipe, with some spiced granola to bring in the new season. It’s a simple recipe that’s perfect for baking with kids.
Slice the apples in half, and top with a granola crumble mixture. I like to add more dried granola on top after the apples have baked.
This time, we used spiced granola, with flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg. To replicate, sprinkle desired spices onto old-fashioned granola.
Top with cool, creamy Greek yogurt, and you have a treat that’s perfect for heading into the fall season.
We love desserts and snacks with baked or roasted fruit, because the kids can experience for themselves how yummy seasonal produce can be! Kid-approved, simple recipes like this one are perfect for gathering around the kitchen table and catching up with family.
