Yep, I’m joining the craze. I’ve started making mason jar salads.
And you know what? It’s a really smart idea. Whoever thought of it…*hand clap emoji*
All the ingredients stay separate, and fresh, and it makes eating salad a whole lot more fun.
Basically, it saves you tons of time and effort when making healthy meals for yourself or your family. I always have the good intentions of eating healthier, but convenience usually wins out.
Most mornings, breakfast is just coffee with a small snack (trying to work on that too) and I’m starving by the time lunch rolls around. My first thought is to grab something quick and filling, which is not typically a healthy meal. And then I pound coffee because I feel sluggish the rest of the afternoon. Wow, that sounds even worse when I type it out.
So I’m going to work on it. And not coincidentally, I have to wear a bathing suit in a couple of months. That fact is not to be ignored.
But the good news? This spring salad I chopped up this weekend tastes awesome. The dressing is perfect. You’ll look forward to popping the jars open at lunchtime.
Plus it’s fun to see the jars in your fridge. It looks like a treat that someone put together just for you.
Whatever it takes, right?
