Do I have a treat for you today!
Ever heard of SNICKERS® Salad? I just learned about it a few years ago and feel like I’ve been missing. out.
First of all, it’s not really a salad. Fruit salad…. maybe. But definitely more on the indulgent side of “salad”.
Basic ingredients: cut-up Snickers bars, whipped topping, & chopped-up apples.
You’re in, right? Well, hold on–it’s about to get even better.
I put a caramel apple spin on the basic recipe:
I used tart Granny Smith apples and added butterscotch pudding mix to the whipped topping. Plus walnuts for the top.
I tested it out on a group of friends who came over for the football game this weekend. It tasted amaaaazing and even impressed those who were already fans of Snickers Salad. The pudding mix turns the whipped topping into a creamy caramel treat.
It’s the perfect tailgating or home-viewing party dish. Guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Plus, it’s easy to make and travels well, if you’re watching the big game at someone else’s house. Can’t beat that!
What are some your favorite tail-gating treats? Any signature dishes that must be at the party?
You can pick up all the ingredients for Snickers Salad, as well as other party treats like Starburst® candies, at Walmart.
