And we’re back to the dips. Really, I can’t help myself. Nothing better than a good dip. Just reinforces the idea that we should only be eating appetizers and dessert anyway.
Do I sound a little loopy?
It’s because my daughter has been in school for two days out of the last three weeks. Holiday break and then two days off for extreme wind chill. And it looks like tomorrow will be just as chilly. There’s a -35 degree wind chill here in Chicago, and while snow days are a lot of fun, “cold days” are not. No sledding, no snowmen… just lots of movies and cookies.
If you’re in the same position, may I suggest my Best Ever Snickerdoodles? Always a good idea. We made them this afternoon.
Have the dip first. Or second. No rules on “cold days”.
Such yummy ingredients in this dip, starting with blue cheese.
But here’s the thing–it’s a hint of blue cheese. Totally subtle, I swear. Not everyone is a fan of blue cheese, I know, but it’s not overpowering in this dip at all.
Walnuts for texture, green onions & parsley for fresh flavor… and a cream cheese base.
Wait, let’s back up a minute. You guys know to use kitchen scissors for chopping herbs, right? So much quicker. Try it!
Just dive right in with whatever you have around… pita chips, crackers, pretzels, a spoon.
You get the idea.
And then convince your husband that this is dinner.
Apps & desserts…let’s make it a thing.
