This past weekend we celebrated three birthdays in my family: mine, my sister-in-law Ashley’s, and my mom’s. Every year we celebrate the “girls'” birthdays together, and it’s a lot of fun. I decided that this dip recipe was perfect to make for the party.
Between my brother and I, we have four kids under the age of six. Yes. Anyone with a bunch of littles running around knows how crazy it can get at family parties. The noise level alone is stressful!
We (the parents) spent most of our time running after children, trying to prevent all breakable things at the Grandparents’ house from getting broken, and grabbing an appetizer here and there.
Thank goodness for simple, tasty appetizers, right?? I need something I can grab on the go as I’m running from room to room.
I made this dip with Kraft Pourables in Classic Ranch–using this shortcut made the dip recipe so much easier to throw together with a baby on my hip!
Kraft Pourables (both Zesty Italian and Classic Ranch) have been reinvented with new, better taste. I totally noticed that the Classic Ranch tasted creamier. Apparently, it now has more buttermilk and savory herbs. Yum!
I picked up both the Zesty Italian and Classic Ranch at Walmart, and grabbed the rest of the ingredients for my dip.
It’s so easy, guys. Classic Ranch, sour cream, bacon, and green onions.
Chop up bacon or use “real” bacon bits…adds so much more flavor!
You know this trick for cutting green onions, right? Use a pair of kitchen scissors? Love that tip. Works well on herbs too!
I chopped up some veggies, which I think is classic with ranch dip, but you could also try pretzel chips, crackers, french fries…. really any carb would work.
And that’s it!
Ready to party.
