Ok, so I’ve been slacking a bit lately. Only two posts this week.

In addition to being in the final stages of growing a human, I’ve been prepping everything for the baby, and getting all of my first-born’s kindergarten appointments in before the baby comes. The thing about having a second kid, is that you know exactly how different life will be with a newborn. I’d much rather sit in the waiting room of a dentist’s office catching up on instagram than shushing a baby. Yes.

But it’s made for a whirlwind of a week. And now we’re at another weekend. So let’s celebrate the things that made my crazy week a little better.

It was high 70’s yesterday and will be even warmer today. Holla!
I don’t even care about the intermittent thunderstorms. A few sprinkles are fine, just keep those temps up so I can finally put away A’s snow suit.

Last week (I know, breaking the rules, bear with me) I took my daughter to a fun outdoor park. “She who must be outside at all times” loved it.

Sorry for the grainy photo on the left… I had to zoom in to crop out the other children from the shot. Don’t those kids know I have a blog to write??! Anyways, she was thrilled to take off her shoes and go wading in the pond.

Oh, and she attempted to climb a much scarier-looking rope bridge than the one on the right. Unfortunately, she got stuck. So I had to hoist my pregnant self up a ladder and go rescue her. By the time I got up there, there were a zillion children, and we just had to keep going. I must have looked crazy…. nine months pregnant, balancing on this rope bridge meant for kids. Oy.

My daughter picked this template as her birthday invitation, and my sister-in-law, Ashley recreated it perfectly in photoshop. So cute!! By the way, this is someone else’s design…. my daughter’s name is not Lillian, nor do we live on 123 Rainbow Lane;)

Have you guys seen this?? It’s been all over Pinterest. A water blob for summer fun–I must have one!

1, 2, 3

I’m getting my hair cut today, and bringing using these pictures for inspiration. My hair is not much longer than a “lob”, but it’s long enough to drive me crazy. I have really fine hair, which means it gets ratty if it lays on my shoulders. I’m tired of brushing the back every hour, so off with an inch or two! And no, I’m not coloring my hair blonde, that’s just a coincidence.

Lisa wrote this last week, and I have to pass it on, in case any of you are pregnant, trying, just had a baby, or have friends doing any of those challenging tasks. It’s really an insight into the process of becoming a parent. Pregnancy; I wish, was a few less months, but I love babies & having children. Lisa, as she has said on multiple occasions, loves being pregnant and (likely) will love being a mom. That being said, her thoughts on pregnancy (the good and less wonderful parts) and becoming a mother are dead-on. Read it… you’ll find yourself nodding along.

That’s all for this week! Hope you guys had a good one!
