You know what’s worse than being sick? Being sick in your third trimester. I’m already using all the kleenexes in the land, and I couldn’t even take any cool meds ending in “quil” to help me through it.
And then I got my four y.o. and hubby sick.
So… I’ve been a little M.I.A.
on this blog in my life. But, I’m feeling better (averaging only 3 tissues per hour) and I’m determined to celebrate the good things that happened this week.
Stay tuned next week for Chocolate Ganache Cheesecake with Thin Mint crust. Oh yes.
Oh! And be sure to enter the giveaway if you haven’t already. I would loooooove an extra $300 in my paypal account right about now.
Sean (and his helper) made homemade pasta for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Jamie Oliver version. The only cook better than my husband;)
That sauce was insane. You could taste every single ingredient. I wanted to jar a bunch of it sometime this summer when the tomatoes are more cooperative.
And the best part? Since I was already starting to feel the plague coming on….HE DID THE DISHES.
Nothin’ sexier, ladies. Well, not much anyway.
Let’s see…what else happened this week?
dumping organizing a lot of our stuff, to clean out the baby’s room. I had to go through piles of books to decide which to donate. I ended up reading this book for the third? Fourth time? Every time I think I’m done with it, it sucks me back in. She needs to go on another trip. Minus the messy divorce part. I mean, I’m not unreasonable.
Got my love knot ring in the mail. So delicate.
Cheers me up after a diamond popped out of my 10 year old engagement ring. Yep.
How does that even happen??
We flipped the IKEA bookshelf on its side, and made into a….well, bookshelf. But it’s vertical now, and I’m loving that. My sister-in-law, Ashley bought baby B a Scentsy elephant (smells like baby powder), which goes perfectly in the room. Now the whole room smells like a nursery, and I can’t wait to put the finishing touches on it in a couple of months.
And finally…. I’m kind of wondering why I can’t get any blogging done without listening to the Boy Bands Radio on Pandora.
For the most part, it’s 90’s era boy band music. I’ve tried more easy-going stations (Sara Bareilles, Glen Hansard (“Once” movie guy)) but I just get sleepy. I even tried Top Hits radio, which is just the same five songs they play over and over again on the radio. So-embarrassingly-I’m stuck in Boy Band land. Could be worse I guess.
Enjoy your weekend! Hope you and yours stay healthy!
