Let’s face it, 2013 was the most important year of this blog.

Ok, so I started it in February of 2013… but I’ve really enjoyed this year of blogging. I can’t wait to see the new projects, new friends, and the new challenges in 2014.

Without further ado, your favorite posts of 2013…

IKEA expedit bookcase: seating & storage

Not at all shocking, given its popularity on pinterest. By far my most read/pinned/viewed post. Given that I started the project by first searching for inspiration on pinterest, it’s not surprising that that’s how most of you found the post.

Also, it’s one of my most used, most versatile, pieces of furniture. Check it out if you haven’t already.

The next one isn’t really that surprising either. I love this recipe, and it’s one that often lands me new readers who find the recipe on Pinterest. It’s tasty and requires very little time & effort. I’m not at all exaggerating when I swear that I double the recipe and make it once a week.

Eggless Cookie Dough

I’m guessing this next post became popular based on its pictures:

DIY birthday decorations

The plastic tablecloth chandelier decoration is one of my favorite diy tips. So easy & a BIG pay-off. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for that Hello Kitty cake. One of the easiest cakes I’ve ever made, yet it was one of my most popular designs. Love it when that happens.

Next up is a bit of a surprise…

Sour Cream Banana Bread

I’m guessing that ya’ll think sour cream makes bread more delicious? Well, then you would be right. Plenty of butter and sour cream make this banana bread one-of-a-kind. I can’t stand it when breads turn out dry on the bottom and under-cooked in the middle. This one is simple, but so good… everytime.

Lastly, I can’t be surprised that this one did well, given its over-the-top cuteness.

Birthday Cake Pancakes

Who doesn’t want a towering stack of funfetti pancakes covered in frosting & sprinkles on their birthday??! Talk about a special breakfast!

Hopefully you’ve tried out one of these posts, and maybe you’ve found a new one in this list. I love to see readers pinning and making my creations. This blogging thing sure is fun, isn’t it??

Happy New Year, readers!
