As promised, my inspirational pins for the nursery. The baby’s room is a playroom of sorts right now, a hodgepodge of toys and random furniture. I’m looking forward to seeing it with a fresh coat of paint.
As I said before, I’m thinking more in terms of baby-proofing this time around, so I’m not in a total panic when she starts crawling. More on that later…
We’re definitely set on lavender as the main color, with aqua tones as accents. And of course, plenty of grey and white to mellow things out.
My favorite rooms for inspiration:

Gorgeous, right? Everything feels very light and calming.
Another perfect color inspiration.
Trees have been a little overdone lately, but I can’t resist the paper flowers. How sweet!
As I mentioned before, there will be some pops of blue/green shades throughout. Some pictures that will help me to pick out the right shades:
This next one is less about the colors, and more about the gallery wall of frames. I love the mismatching frames, and it would be fun to switch out the pictures from time to time. Definitely something that a girl could grow into through the years.
By the way, if you like that set-up as much as I do, check out the source, which is a blog for Ginny Phillips Photography. She has a lot of the above prints on the site and more details about this room, which I will definitely be checking out when I’m in the middle of DIYing.
So that’s where we’re headed right now… Sean is about to tackle another tax season, so it’ll be a mad dash to get the room painted and prepped between April and May, when I am due.
I’m just excited to get my daughter’s old baby clothes out:)
