This isn’t a DIY tutorial as much as it’s a reminder to everyone that small home decor change is always possible. Behold, the magic of spray paint.
We moved into our house a year ago. Some parts of it were move-in ready (gorgeous kitchen) and some parts needed some love (new roof, new upstairs bathroom, etc ETC). We’ve done a lot of work on it (and thrown a lot of money at it) but there are still projects that nag at me. Funny how those things tend be asthetics, rather than say, a water softener.
Anyways, it’s funny to me that as we plow through our to do list, I somehow forget all things we’ve worked on and only stare at what still needs to be done.
I have to keep reminding myself that owning our first house is a big deal. And we’ll eventually get to everything on the list. (And probably start back at the top again…)
But one of the items on my to do list is to set-up herbs in pots on the deck, and I was able to get this one thing done this weekend.
Which made me feel better.
One thing at time…feel inspired yet? Need pictures?
BEFORE– tired-looking, faded pots rotting in our garage
AFTER– metallic gray, blends well with the patio furniture
parsley, basil, & thyme
Used the first two in a pasta dish last night! Basil grows like CRAZY, so I’m really excited to being growing it instead of handing over $3 to Target each time.
Feeling overwhelmed too? I hear ya. Sometimes us DIY’ers get a little ahead of ourselves.
